EXPERIENCE
Didactics
II has brought me a lot of challenges among which is going to a Junior High
School. I am talking about my teaching practice. This teaching practice has
been totally different from the one I did last year with kindergarten. During
this teaching practice, I have faced many challenges such as knowing how to get
my students’ attention since they were very noisy and how to keep a good
learning environment.
After
reading some material about how to teach effectively and having some pieces of
advice from my teacher, everything started to be nice. I made reflective
teaching, so I could realize that my students were very noisy because they were
not interested on what and how I was teaching. Therefore, I changed everything
on my lesson plan. I started to present appealing materials and funny
activities. Doing so, my students started to pay attention and to participate
in class. From then on, everything was nice, so I continue having funny activities
on my lesson plan.
To sum up,
I have learnt that like children, adolescents learn by doing as well. Not only
do adolescents like being sited but also practicing what they learn. Learning
through funny activities, not only do they learn but also they have fun.
